Tumbuh Health

Australia-Indonesia community health initiative

Growing Health Together

Tumbuh Health is a new Australia-Indonesia community health initiative. For this pilot, we are working with local partners to support and improve existing family planning, maternal health, and child health workshops in Central Java.

About the initiative

Community-rooted health support built with local partners.

Our approach is practical and collaborative. Rather than replacing what already exists, we aim to strengthen trusted local workshops and help communities grow access to useful, relevant health knowledge.

01

Local partnership

We work with local partners and build on established community efforts.

02

Practical support

We focus on workshops that can improve real outcomes for families.

03

Shared learning

We bring together experience from Australia and Indonesia in service of communities.

Focus areas

Where the pilot is currently concentrated.

Family Planning

Supporting community workshops that strengthen awareness, access to information, and informed decision-making for families.

Maternal Health

Working alongside local programs to improve the quality and reach of maternal health education and support.

Child Health

Helping reinforce workshop delivery around early child health, family wellbeing, and practical care knowledge.

Our approach

We believe lasting health improvement grows from trusted relationships, local knowledge, and steady support for the people already doing the work.

Why Tumbuh

“Tumbuh” means to grow. Our mission is to help community health efforts grow stronger, more connected, and more sustainable over time.
